BEHIND THE SHIELDS:
MAKING OF THE HAVOLINE CAMPAIGN

Shot in New Zealand over a number of days early in 2011, the Havoline production featured a cast of 120 12-year-old children from many countries. Using the Havoline Shield as the core symbol, we designed four symbols representing Protection, Investment, Fuel Economy, Performance and the Environment.

Special Havoline shields were created enabling each child to play their part in generating the four symbols to represent each message. These symbols are created in real time by the children's movement to tell the Havoline story in a dynamic and compelling manner. A complex shoot went very smoothly following a series of rehearsals and rigorous preproduction.
